We are seeking an experienced, motivated Director of Music Ministry to develop, direct, and implement music programs that contribute to the ministry and growth of our church, a suburban congregation with a tradition of music excellence. The successful candidate will possess proven leadership skills, be an accomplished choir director and organist/pianist, and will work under the direction of our Senior Minister. Responsibilities for this part-time position include:

Direct and lead the 22+ voice adult chancel choir with 7 paid section leaders weekly in one 10:30am Sunday service, with one weekly rehearsal.

Perform on the 1965 Austin pipe organ, extensively renovated in 2008.

Provide music for all services, weddings and funerals of the church. Present seasonal concerts, recitals and choral performances.

Plan all services, including the preparation of music notes, and work closely with Senior and Assistant Ministers at weekly meetings.

Identify and develop new programs to attract new members and enhance the visibility of our church in the local community.

Coordinate the activities of the Youth and Handbell Choirs.
